What information can you use to complete the child's profile:
Include the child (where possible) in discussions about how they can be supported at school.
Consult the child's parent and see what they know about their child and what they think works.
Ask the child's therapists such as Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists and Psychologists and see what supports they reccomend.
See what supports are already in place at school and if they are working, include them to make sure all educators know about them.
 
Ideas of how to use your completed profile:
Email the completed profile to the child's school. Or better yet, organise to meet the child's teacher and go through the profile with them.
Have a printed copy available for teachers and casual teachers. This could be located on the teachers desk.
Ensure all staff know it is available and that it should be referred too.
Keep it up to date and edit it as needed.
