If you have completed an individual sleep support package attendance is free

The group is for educational purposes and peer support. Individual advice is best sought through the sleep packages or shared appointments.

Who can join The Village?

The village is open to any parent or carer who:

  • Cares for a child aged between 0-5 years

  • Lives in the Nepean Blue Mountains area or is willing to travel there

  • Is keen to parent responsively both day and night

  • Compassionate and caring towards other parents

Is there childcare available?

Parents and carers are responsible for supervising their own children. There will be toys and activities available for children. Neurodiverse children are welcomed with open arms. Children are allowed to move freely in the play and outside areas as long as they are safe and supervised.

Are food and drinks provided?

Only tap water is provided. We ask that any hot beverages you consume are in a cup with a lid. Any food must be consumed outside. 

Is the facility pram friendly?

Prams are allowed inside. However, if there are too many prams, you may be asked to leave your pram outside. Growing Gently Psychology is not responsible for any prams or belongings left unattended outside.

What should I bring?

Please bring proof of purchase for your annual membership or casual rate ticket. A sunscreen and hat is also recommended for the outdoor area.

If I cannot attend a meet up, can I get a refund?

There are no refunds for non-attendance.

How should I expect the group to run?

You will be greeted with a friendly smile and asked to sign in on arrival. The group will commence at 10am with a brief meet and greet, where everyone will get a chance to meet each other and dispel some initial nerves! We will then briefly chat about a shared topic of choice (15 minutes maximum. There is then plenty of time to ask Rebecca questions, mingle with other parents, and explore the information and play stations spread out across the hall and outside.

What does an annual membership include?

The annual membership to The Village allows you to attend every monthly meet up for 12 month from the date of purchase. As  meet ups do not occur in January or December, this includes 10- meet ups in total. Your membership is per family so you and your partner can come along. Or perhaps you want to bring along your mother or another adult that regularly cares for your child. You will also be the first to be invited to any special events.

What facilities do you have for infant feeding?

We are a breastfeeding friendly group. You can breastfeed where you feel comfortable and it is your choice whether you cover up or not. Powerpoints are available if you need to use a breastpump. A microwave is also available to heat up formula and milk.

Is there a bathroom?

There is an accessible toilet available

Are the meet ups Covid Safe?

Please do not attend if you have any cold or flu symptoms or if you or a household member test positive for Covid-19. Please use sanitiser and wash your hands regularly.
