Are you looking for a place where you can meet like-minded parents AND be met with compassion?

A place where you can be yourself AND become the parent you want to be?

A place that supports YOUR wellbeing and still helps you parent responsively?

Come along and learn more about infant sleep and responsive parenting, share your story, ask questions, be encouraged to look after your mental well-being, and make friends.

We value compassion: Compassion to self and compassion to others. There’s no judgement here.

Children will also enjoy some sensory nourishment!

Sleep. Sensory nourishment. Secure attachment. Self-care.

We meet up on an ad hoc basis.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can join The Village?

The village is open to any parent or carer who:

  • Cares for a child aged between 0-5 years

  • Lives in the Nepean Blue Mountains area or is willing to travel there

  • Is keen to parent responsively both day and night

  • Compassionate and caring towards other parents

Is there childcare available?

Parents and carers are responsible for supervising their own children. There will be toys and activities available for children. Neurodiverse children are welcomed with open arms. Children are allowed to move freely in the play and outside areas as long as they are safe and supervised.

What facilities do you have for infant feeding?

We are a breastfeeding friendly group. You can breastfeed where you feel comfortable and it is your choice whether you cover up or not. Powerpoints are available if you need to use a breastpump. A kettle is also available to heat up formula and milk.

Is there a bathroom?

There is a toilet available

Are the meet ups Covid Safe?

Please do not attend if you have any cold or flu symptoms or if you or a household member test positive for Covid-19. Please use sanitiser and wash your hands regularly.

How should I expect the group to run?

You will be greeted with a friendly smile and asked to sign in on arrival. The group will commence  with a brief meet and greet, where everyone will get a chance to meet each other and dispel some initial nerves! We will then briefly chat about a shared topic of choice (15 minutes maximum). There is then plenty of time to ask Rebecca questions, mingle with other parents, and explore the information and play stations spread out across the hall and outside.

Are food and drinks provided?

Only tap water is provided. We ask that any hot beverages you consume are in a cup with a lid. Any food must be consumed outside.

Is the facility pram friendly?

Due to the small space, we ask that you do not bring prams. A carrier or capsule are alternatives.

What should I bring?

There is no need to bring anything other than the stuff you would generally need on an outing with kids e.g. nappy bag

If I cannot attend a meet up, can I get a refund?

There are no refunds for non-attendance.
