About the event

If you are a neurodivergent parent, a parent of a neurodivergent child, or a professional who supports neurodivergent families, come along and learn more about neuroaffirming parenting.

I can’t cover everything there is about neurodivergent parenting but I will touch on:

🌿 Moving away from neurotypical norms and expectations.

🌿 Managing parental guilt and not always getting it “right”.

🌿 Accepting your child’s unique communication, play and emotional style as is, rather than trying to make them fit a particular mould.

I will be drawing from a variety of research, theories and standpoints including:

🌿 The social model of disability

🌿 Autism and ADHD as “dynamic disabilities”

🌿 Compassion Focused Therapy

🌿 Acceptance Comitnent Therapy

🌿 Radical acceptance

(If you have never heard of the above, don’t worry! That’s why you should attend!)

Will a recording be available?

A recording of the webinar will be available only to those who purchase the Neurodivergent Parenting Cards.

Can I come if my child isn’t neurodivergent?

Yes! Neuroaffirming parenting supports everyone regardless of their neurotype. So if your child’s neurotypical, it’s still worthwhile attending!

About the presenter

The webinar will be presented by Rebecca Cefai, Psychologist and Director of Growing Gently Psychology.

Rebecca will be presenting from the perspective of a neurodivergent mother and psychologist, parenting a neurodivergent child.
